Understanding Stress 
At Unstress Health we redefine stress with a holistic approach. Stress is more than just feeling overwhelmed and its impact on mood. Stress is defined as anything which has the potential to comprise our health. In order to build health, we must identify ALL stressors in our lives and work towards minimising them the best we can. Unstress Health guides you through these categories and demonstrates how each stressor has a negative effect on health and productivity.
5 Pillars of Health 
Developed by Dr Ron Ehrlich in consultation with leading experts, our program describes the five major sources of stress, as well as the five major categories to focus on to improve our health and wellbeing.
  • 3 in 5 (61.9%) individuals don't have the recommended amount of sleep*
  • 3 in 5 (58%) indicated that they may have some form of sleep disordered breathing*
  • 2 in 5 (44%) people experience indigestion issues regularly*
  • 1 in 2 (49%) people are exercising less than 2 hours per week*
  • 1 in 5 (20%) Australians aged 16-34 years experienced high or very high levels of psychological distress, more than twice the rate of those aged 65-85 years (9%)*

Unstress Health is backed by a professional and passionate Advisory Panel. Collectively the Advisory Panel has over 100 years of clinical practice. All members are equally passionate about staying up to date with current health research, all run their own practices and most importantly have a holistic approach when treating patients, looking at the whole picture and person.

Over 40 years of clinical practice Dr Ron Ehrlich has developed a holistic approach to health and wellness, as well as a comprehensive model of how stress impacts on our lives. Empowering individuals and organisations is his passion.
 
His new book A Life Less Stressed: the five pillars of health and wellness explores:
  • Why public health messages are so confusing and contradictory looking at the role of the food and pharmaceutical industries in all levels of health care.
  • The five stresses in life that break us down: emotional, environmental, nutritional, postural and dental stressors.
  • The five pillars of health to build physical, mental and emotional resilience: sleep, breathe, nourish, movement and thought.
These are themes he explores and expands on each week with world leaders in his weekly podcast Unstress with Dr Ron Ehrlich. The model has also shaped his keynotes and workshops for the public, corporates and health professionals, both locally and internationally.
